Trust, privacy and control

The Hassist Promise to parents and families

Hassist supports families through AI companion phone calls, so trust cannot be hidden in fine print. These are the practical safeguards parents and family members should expect before, during and after every Maya call.

Short answerThe Hassist Promise has four commitments: Maya identifies herself as an AI companion, family approval is required before purchases or bookings, sensitive requests can receive human review, and conversation information stays in the private family experience rather than being sold to advertisers.

Key facts

Parent choice comes first

A parent receives a normal phone call and does not need to install an app. Maya identifies herself as an AI companion. If the parent does not want the calls, the family can pause or stop the schedule from the dashboard.

Family approval before action

A conversation may reveal that medicine is running low or that practical help is needed. Hassist can surface the request, but a purchase, booking or payment is not completed until the family reviews and approves it.

Human support for sensitive situations

AI should not silently make high-impact care decisions. Sensitive, unclear or unusual requests can be reviewed by the Hassist Care Team before action, while urgent danger still requires the family or local emergency services.

Private family information

Call outcomes, Family Notes and care follow-ups are shown through the private family dashboard. Hassist says conversation information is used to provide the service and is not sold or shared with advertisers.

Controls the family can use

Families can change the call schedule, pause calls, update parent and medicine information, review follow-ups and contact support. Privacy requests, including correction or deletion requests, can be made through the contact details in the Privacy Policy.

Clear limits on what Hassist is

Hassist provides companionship and family-support information. Maya is not a doctor, does not diagnose or prescribe, and Hassist is not an emergency response service or a replacement for someone who can physically reach the parent.
